Board hints
Board external emails.
It may have been noticed that the board allows external emails to non members ,
top right of topic page , this is to advise friends etc of topics that may be of interest to them
i.e. the topic link is given .
But be aware although the header address is that of the boards own Bot "Admin@" , the return address is set and shown to that of the member .

Re: single post pointer
Although the board will not show a single post as such , it can let you direct someone to any chosen post by copy/pasting address bar details , by clicking on the icon beside the username below the re.**** *** immediately above the required post .
in this posts case it would be "re. single post pointer"
here's a quick example , the link below should take you to a mid topic post by srd in another forum section .

Re: Text size
On this site text size can be altered to suit any users own preference ,
You can find the text size control below the main header on the right hand side ,
it looks like an "A" with up/down indicators at each side although members may have to reduce the size from maximim to reach the board index button in certain board styles ( there is another one at the bottom).
The larger text can be useful when special event styles are in use .
edit:
Only applies to the older 3.0 series , hasn't been included in the upgraded versions 3.1 3.2 3.3

Re: Board hints Atom feeds
All "Static" styles have now been updated to include active feed content (from the public forums only ).
Static blue & red styles have been also been modded to include "Quick Reply" mode .
No longer applies re. upgrade

I wish I knew what that meant.

Just what is it about "All "Static" styles have now been updated to include active feed content (from the public forums only )." that you don't understand?
Is it the same as me?

Re: Board hints
Or read the forum messages
http://www.salems.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=233#p4286
"Static" is the default style type used in here . Being static, static blue the default one for guests and static red . Others styles in use are are Soul_City , prosilver , subsilver & special events (activated when required)
Feeds are RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds , the type used here is "Atom Feeds" the orange square beside "home" on i.e. browsers will take you to them and it's up to yourselves if you choose to subscribe or just click on the feed button when you feel like it .
"public forums" the majority of the forums i.e. the ones you can read as a guest.

Re: Board hints
Embedding video to post
This was discussed much earlier in the test version
see here http://www.salems.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2&start=0
if you need any help in adding video to a post .
Find a rather topical one below .

Whilst the above BBcode will still be available , auto media embedding is added to the board ... simply post the video URL . don't use the url tags when embeddingSRD wrote:How to clear snow:
