The election
It’s going to be interesting to see the results of the local elections. London seems to have veered towards Labour but Labour has not made as much progress as expected elsewhere.

Re: The election
We couldnt vote Labour because of the arrogance over the local road closure programmes. So it was a reluctant vote for libdems. They were not against the closures as such but against the way it was done.
I voted Trade Unionist socialist alliance for mayor.

Re: The election
We use the STV system instead of FPTP so the count takes longer and doesn’t begin until the morning after the night before.

I doubt it. But Starmer (Labour leader) could go which wouldn't upset me. Beer gate. Or is it "curry gate"

Re: The election
It's the desperation of the Mail on Sunday to find something, anything, that might deflect from Boris' constant partying and breaking of the rules he set.

Re: The election
It amazes me that a video from April 2021 suddenly appears just after Boris’s first criminal fine and just before the local elections. Talk about keeping your powder dry.

Re: The election
All I know is I'd rather go to a Tory Party than a Labour one. Much more fun

When I began reading this thread just now, I expected that the results would be posted.

Re: The election
It wasn't a major election, all local stuff. But it is a litmus test.

Re: The election
I was watching Gogglebox last night and they showed the Conservatives losing more than 300 seats.I would have guessed more.
