Two years in prison for "Upskirting"
Just said on Woman's hour that the act known as "upskirting". Using a phone to take pictures up someone' skirt could result in two years in prison. Those who do it should be ashamed but two years in prison? When gaols, are already crowded with actual criminals?

The proposed bill would put it in line with other voyeurism offences.

It's an assault of a sort and is certainly bullying n much the same way that revenge porn is and two years is the maximum punishment.
Sir Christopher Chope stopped it, as he and his 'friends' frequently do to Private Member's bills, because he was concerned that not enough study had been done on the legislation and they are concerned that there's too much sloppy legislation as it is. The government have said they'll re-introduce the bill as official government policy soon.

I still think its a massive over reaction. Yet another dangerous dog bill. What you have to consider is the degree of harm detriment or suffering it causes. Then compare that to other established "crimes" that might incur a two year sentence. And then consider what you hope to achieve by incarceration and if other corrective measures would be more appropriate and more likely ti achieve the result you want.
