Lineone/tiscali/talk talk free email to end in November

Post by Little John »

Although I still have my old lineone. Net email address, I rarely check it. But I have had two emails from talk talk to say their free email service will end for non talk customers unless the pay for it.

I stopped using it years ago. I am with Plus Net but have never used their email facility.

I don’t remember using that. All I got was a tiscali mug in a Grand National sweepstakes which broke in the mail. I had to keep asking scrumpy for it so wasn’t entirely convinced it was the PO that broke it.

I thought the Tiscali web space ended years ago, it's where I started my first site and I lost quite a bit of stuff because I didn't download it quickly enough and the PC I had the back ups on had died.

Little John wrote: November 24th, 2019, 8:53 am Just checked website.lineone.net/~johngl1 and there's now just a page forbidden notice. August was the end of that, apparently. Sad because the Web help forum is why I'm here at all.

[MM]I have posted this here on John’s behalf.

I think what they've done, is try to scare people into paying and then when that failed, they've added adverts to the mail site.

I wouldn't pee on tt if they were on fire ,
I still get the odd nutter trying it on after tt had a security breach so my phone number was gotten at the very minimum.
