Home beer delivery

Post by Little John »

Just had a leaflet put through our door from the local mini brewery - Brockley Brewery. They were advertising a delivery service delivering beer to your door by 6pm if ordered by 12 noon. I'm an hour late for that but I've ordered 20 pints of best bitter. If only Sainsbury's was that easy!

Lots of local entrepreneurs springing up here too. One is my cousin’s ex wife selling tea tree oil based sanitisers and bamboo toilet rolls. 🤦🏼‍♀️

The Romans who were civilised used a stick with a damp sponge at the end. In tenement flats with a shared cludgie it was sheets of the Daily Rag.

Mini & micro breweries are finding themselves with the latest brew stuck in their vats, local sales are the only way out. Our local wholesalers, who normally only supply pubs/restaurants/care homes etc. are also delivering to the general public.
Mrs SRD tried those bamboo loo rolls as they are supposed to be anti-allergenic, they're soft enough but weren't sufficiently anti-allergenic.

Better off taking the mathematician route. Work it out with a pencil and paper.

The beer came. I had given up because the polypin I ordered was taken off the "shop" page and the automatic invoice said they would tell me when my order had been "shipped" and I never got the message(the brewery is only 500m from here).

A notice on their site said there had been a very high demand so I figured that was it. Then around 7pm, a box appeared on my door step and I waved gratefully to a swiftly retreating brewer. :)

The polypin are still there. But on the next page. We had a full size polypin delivered yesterday. 20 ltrs of "Red Ale". Its in the usual cardboard box but the poly containter bag inside is really flimsy. I don't know if they are all like that now but the bags used to stand up on their own outside of the box. This one keeps trying to escape through the tap hole in the box. More like a wine box bag.
