Or, to those out of the know, The West of England Youth Orchestra, who played at the Wiltshire Music Centre last night. Stravinsky's Firebird Suite and Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade were delivered as well as I've heard them and the new commission, a violin concerto by Jeff Moore, played by the orchestra augmented by it's junior section, Superstrings, was done more than justice given the material which hardly stretched the older members but gave the younger ones (down to 5 years old) a chance to experience the big stage.
