Lankum (formerly Lynched) are an Irish band who sing four part harmonies, sometimes a capella and sometimes accompanying themselves on pipes, squeeze boxes, fiddle and guitar, there, that was easy, except it wasn't, easy it definitely wasn't.
Their songs are often sombre, usually gritty even when humourous and the backing is as far from the traditional Irish twiddly diddle as it's possible to be without actually abandoning the tradition.
Ian Lynch makes the uilleann pipes behave like a synth whilst still sounding as plaintive as a nail scratched down a blackboard, Radie Peat not only has the most extraordinary voice but plays the concertina like an angel, Cormac MacDiarmada combines his fiddling with supporting and harmonic vocals as well as anyone can and Daragh Lynch, like his brother, makes his guitar into a multi-instrument whilst producing amazing vocals..

Children are like Slinkys - not much use for anything, but it always brings a smile to your face when you throw them down the stairs. Chinchilla

Sounds like a place on Disc World.
Yes this is the real "Little John" (or it could be "colin")
