One of my former colleagues used to live in a house which backed onto Rugby Park. They could hear every roar in games and every note of gigs. She enjoyed Elton that was I believe.

We used to live close to The Millwall football ground. A right pain for parking on match days. You could see the towers but not the pitch. But still very noisy.

Having said that, I was at a meeting during an England World cup game and was on the train back to our office when it stopped in the middle of Blackfriars Bridge (near our office). England must have scored because there came this mighty roar from all directions all over London.
