Horrible yellow header

Post by Little John »

What's with the horrible, unreadable yellow header?

It's proving difficult to find the right choice of colour to suit both desktop and mobile versions , it has to be the same for both ,
previous attempts were unreadable or difficult to see on desktop and vice versa , the yellow has to go though . :head:
If you turn the phone sideways (if the orientation isn't fixed ) then you'll see the problem .

For me on my laptop the problem is the text crosses the foreground detail of the backing picture, so regardless of the colour used parts of the text get swallowed up in the backing picture colours. If the text could be moved to sit on the sea then almost any colour but blue would be fine.

Something like the attached.

White would work unless the photo disappears on some formats.

This is my mobile background. White wouldn't work on that.

White makes the text invisible on the phone output

Possible answer is to cut part of the desktop header image away or different image as moving the text affects all types
i.e. on phones it would be stuck on diagonal corners because of the responsive style attributes .

Must be a smaller screen than mine which is a mini desk top with the normal image on landscape ( or possibly just the browser )

I can’t seem to turn it landscape on the Huawai. It doesn’t matter a jot to me but it could put off potential newbies.

Should be a quick setting , called either orientation or auto rotate on most phones

https://device-wiki.com/en/how-to-enabl ... horizontal.

Any how the main problem seems to be the desk top text visability on header :hide:

I can live with it, after all I only see it to sign in, but casual visitors might be put off. Is it possible to detect what device is accessing it and delivering up different front pages for different devices?
