Graham Linehan arrest

Graham Linehan was arrested by 5 armed officers on his return from America for posts he had made on "X" One post.that has been repeatedly quoted on the radio is said to be inciting violence against transsexuals.

To me, it was obviously a joke. A form of irony based on transgender "women" having testicles. But, if he made the posts while in America, did he actually break any British laws?

I see that the Met is asking for urgent clarification because as it stands if anyone else does something similar they will also have to be arrested. The problem with written language is that nuance and emphasis are missing so you don't know if it's boom boom or punch punch.

Therein lies the problem. Thought Police next? I'm probably guilty of "hate" crimes or "discriminatory" comments too. Maybe I should report my Aboriginal friend for telling my late wife to set the table in a "propper whitefella way"!

I note that the people who attend protests with placards which say things like "Decapitate Terfs" haven't even been spoken to by the police.

It's almost as if the law hasn't been thought through. The placard is free speech but Graham Linehan, an Irish man tweeting a "joke" in America was arrested when he landed on British soil. I guess Elon Musk will never be allowed to land in a UK airport either, unless the rules for private jets are different...
